Have you ever searched to find out what is good in life? The author of Ecclesiastes unabashedly declares his search for what is good through pleasure, wisdom, folly and work–a.k.a. the “good” life. In the end, he reports that the search is meaningless because all life ends in death, and the only thing to be gained in this search is pain, grief and sleepless nights. Living the “good” life isn’t everything it seems. In the end, what if what we truly desire isn’t the “good” life but a fulfilled life? Psalm 145:16 states that God opens his hand and satisfies the desires of all things. Are you satisfied?
